Mainly a bugfix release.
The chart export has been greatly improved, in particular the legend formatting options (font styles). Also, markers can now be set interactively on the plot (see action button at the bottom of the marker property window).
Another small feature release. Some missing functionality from the marker extension was added. Extractor properties are now saved to session file (and restored). The most important upgrade is releated to the color map handling, which now allows much more fine-grained control over user-defined color maps and now also supports interpolating in custom color maps.
A small bugfix/feature release that adds the option to use marker with date/time axes and fixes several other marker-related bugs. Also added a new extractor option (in extractor properties) for extractors working on TSV-files with a date/time stamp column. You may now select on how to interpret the data - as generic cyclic years or real data with leap years (no summer/winter time, though, time stamps must be always unique in file).
Also, the isolines in color map plots got new options and no longer extend beyond the geometry.
A feature release, featuring plot markers such as lines and labels that mark certain positions/limits etc. Also, the floating tracker legend may now be customized a bit regarding the number precision.
This is a major feature and bugfix release.
NOTE: The handling of tsv/btf files (REFERENCE) files has changed and old p2 session files won't load correctly with this release, anylonger. Please edit the p2 session files manually!
Reference files (tsv/btf) are now encoded with
Further, the conversion functions are back, including convenient conversion between TSV and BTF format. This improves handling of large (>80Mb) TSV files, as they are read and updated much much quicker in BTF format.
Two model models have been added: IBP Wood Degradation Model and IBP Corrosion Model.
Lastly, the curve tracker feature has been added, which greatly helps in inspecting many overlaying line series. This happens often in variation studies, or in building energy simulation models with many zones.
Fixes and additions (see ticket tracker/feature request page for details):
A feature and bugfix release, at lot of them centered around improving usage for analysis of SIM-VICUS and MASTERSIM results and other simulation tools aside from DELPHIN.
Most notably PostProc now supports files in Binary Table Format (see manual for a specification) which accelerates reading of large time series files significantly. Also, custom units (i.e. for software with own/special unit definitions) can now be defined in the preferences.
Lastly, a lot of annoying bugs have been fixed, like the time stamp issue that caused an hour time shift sometimes.
Have fun with the new release and let us know if you encounter any bugs!
Fixes and additions:
This release contains fixes for quite a few annoying issues, like the missing additional line series entries when adding new lines to a chart. Also, the TSV file import has been improved a lot and made more robust. The entire auto-updating functionality has been revisited and should work better now for different user/admin combinations on Windows.
Most importantly, though, the new PostProc manual is completed. While writing the manual, some minor issues have been detected and fixed accordingly.
The new manual (so far only in German, english version is in work) is available here:
https://bauklimatik-dresden.de/postproc2-handbuch/
or as printable version
https://bauklimatik-dresden.de/downloads/postproc/PostProc2_manual_de.pdf
Issues fixed:
A major change compared to previous versions is the more strict error handling when reading session files. Previously, faulty session files were read as much as possible, hereby skipping over invalid/malformed content. This, however, could cause data loss since reading would just abort at first occurance of an error. Now, any error encountered, that cannot be gracefully fixed, will give rise to an error message shown in a message window. If you should see such an error message, simply open up the session file in a text editor and fix/remove the offending content.
VTT Wood degradation model added
Several bug fixes related to time/date output and UTC time spec handling (for date/time axis)
#201 Fixed: Zooming with log axes doesn't work (below 1e-7 values)
#200 Added: Table font on Windows smaller
#204 Added: Add scripted chart export functionality (command line arguments --generate-chart and --generate-charts)
#203 Added: Add current and gliding speed to progress.tsv analysis
#194 Fixed: $timepoint(MMM yyyy) doesn't work
#199 Fixed: Writing project fails (and destroys project) when using different drives for dataios and session file)
#193 Fixed: VTT mould model wrong
#195 Fixed: Crash in ExtractorWidget if select Z-Plane
#196 Fixed: XYZ cut for 5D data gives wrong results
Major feature additions are the ability to draw ticks at the inside of charts, and to store diagram formats and apply them easily to other charts. Also, c6b, wac and epw files can be read and analyzed directly, now:
This release fixes some of the smaller bugs left out from the last release and adds some more convenience functions. Most notable is the new chart layout and appearance, which corresponds to traditional chart looks.
Progress bar added when loading large sessions
Performance improvements when switching between charts with many data points
Performance improvements for large time series plots
Added data reduction algorithm when exporting vector graphics (useful, for
large data sets)
Added SVG Export on Linux/Mac
Note: the online manual is now up-to-date and the printed manual is no longer part of the release.
This is a major upgrade release of PostProc with lots of new features and bugs fixed. Most important are the following features:
And, best of all, there is a manual now - included in the installer/package and also online!
Basically, this is the first public release of the new PostProcessing. It is not complete yet and missing many features, but on the other hand, you can do already a lot with it!
