4. Hosting and Server Log Files
Our website is hosted by Alfahosting. When you access the website, technically necessary connection data is processed. This may include your IP address, the date and time of access, requested resources, browser information and technical status information.
This processing serves to provide the website, ensure its functionality and detect and prevent technical attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of our website.
The retention period for server log files depends on the hosting configuration actually in use. Data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for these purposes, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Strictly Necessary Cookies
Our website uses a technically necessary PHP session in connection with the contact form. A session cookie containing a session identifier may be set for this purpose.
The session is used in particular to verify the contact form's arithmetic challenge on the server and to limit repeated submissions within a short period of time.
This is necessary for the secure provision of the form functionality. The storage of, or access to, session information is based on Section 25(2) TDDDG. Where personal data is processed, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
The cookie is not used for advertising or cross-website recognition. Its actual lifetime depends on the server's PHP session configuration.
6. Contacting Us and Contact Form
If you contact us by email or through the contact form, we process the information you provide in order to handle your enquiry and, where applicable, to communicate with you further.
The contact form collects your first name, last name, email address and message, as well as an optional selection of a software product. An arithmetic challenge is also used to prevent automated submissions.
For enquiries relating to a contract or pre-contractual measures, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other enquiries, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to process and respond to incoming enquiries.
The information submitted is forwarded to our company by email. We retain this information for as long as necessary to process your enquiry. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
Providing the information marked as mandatory is necessary to submit an enquiry through the contact form.
7. Newsletter via Brevo
We use Brevo to send our newsletter. The provider is Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address and, where applicable, other information you voluntarily provide to send you information about our software products, training courses and offers.
The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Subscription uses a double opt-in procedure. After entering your details, you receive a confirmation email; your address is added to the relevant German or English newsletter list only after you click the confirmation link.
You may unsubscribe from a consent-based newsletter at any time with effect for the future, in particular by using the unsubscribe link in our newsletters.
Further information can be found in Brevo's privacy policy.
8. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to statistically evaluate the use of our website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Analytics may process information about page views, user interactions, technical browser characteristics and other usage data. Cookies or comparable technologies may be used for this purpose.
Google Analytics is used only after the relevant consent has been obtained. The legal bases are Section 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. When Google Analytics is used, personal data may also be processed in third countries, particularly the United States.
Further information is available in Google's privacy policy.
9. Training Calendar
We display dates for training courses and events on our website. When the static website is generated, calendar data is retrieved from a public Google Calendar and incorporated into the website.
Under the intended technical implementation, merely viewing this statically embedded calendar does not establish a direct connection between your browser and Google Calendar.
10. Recipients of Personal Data
Personal data is disclosed to service providers or other recipients only where necessary for the purposes described, where there is a legal obligation, or where another legal basis permits the transfer.
Recipients may include hosting, email and newsletter service providers and providers involved in the use of Google Analytics.
11. Retention Period
As a general rule, we retain personal data only for as long as it is necessary for the respective processing purpose. Where statutory retention obligations apply, data is deleted after the relevant periods have expired.
For processing based on consent, we take any withdrawal into account for future processing, unless another legal basis permits or requires further retention.
12. Your Rights
You have, in particular, the following rights under the GDPR:
- Access to your personal data (Article 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Article 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of personal data (Article 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)

14. Automated Decision-Making
