Training for our software

To use our software more efficiently in during design and building physics practice, teaching, and research we offer training courses. While the courses focus on the application of our software, we also cover fundamentals of building physics and building science.

Current training sessions

Currently we offer training for our software COND and DELPHIN. The next DELPHIN course will take place on:

6 to 7 November 2017 - DELPHIN training in Dresden (German)

6 to 7 November 2017 - DELPHIN training in Ghent (English/Flemish)

The DELPHIN training courses are accredited as advanced education by Deutsche Energie Agentur DENA with 16 time units.

 
DELPHIN Training

Special insulation systems or actual proceeding processes prone to damage cannot be modelled with simplified methods of calculation currently in practice (EN 13788, DIN 4108-2, etc.). Therefore the necessity of hygrothermal simulations is increasingly required by more recent regulations.
DELPHIN 5 enables the precise observation and evaluation of mechanisms within constructions. Heat, moisture and air transport processes are also taken into account.
DELPHIN 5 is particularly suitable for examining the impact of planned building projects or climate-related measures more closely or for investigating reasons for cases of damage.

Introductory course

The two-day introductory course in our software DELPHIN 5 is aimed at:

  1. Engineers and architects who would like to become more familiar with this subject matter
  2. Consultants who would like to use a comprehensive software with the latest models
  3. Scientists and students

The seminar is also interesting for non-DELPHIN 5 users: they learn to analyse and understand hygrothermal expertises better than many an authors of “expertises” themselves.

Additional One Day Course

An additional one-day course focuses on the consolidation of gained knowledge and the modelling of particular examples, e.g. air flow in constructions, modelling of wall heating or any particular problems the participants may have.

Contents:

  1. Field of application of hygrothermal building component software
  2. Review of construction physics basics
  3. Introduction to material properties
  4. Generation of one- and two-dimensional constructions
  5. Analysis of results: existing evaluation criteria and examples of damage such as mould, wood destruction and frost damages
  6. Generation of own climates as well as special contact and field conditions
  7. Interesting and comprehensible representation of results

Cost:

2-day basic course: 800 € p. p., each additional person from the same company: 500 €

The price includes lunch (in-house canteen), snacks and refreshments as well as seminar documentation.

If the minimum number of participants is not attained the organizer reserves the right to postpone the training.

Cancellations less than three weeks before the start of the course will incur a fee of 50 % of the overall course cost.

Registration can be transferred to another person at any time.

COND Training

Our one-day COND seminar includes two topic groups:

  1. Fundamentals of prevention of moisture damage in buildings, and
  2. Using COND for construction design and expertises

Participants of the seminar receive a certificate of Participation on a seminar about prevention of moisture damage: Fundamentals of building physics and building science, design, and validation with DIN 4108-3 and COND.
